On 26 June 2025, more than 150 guests gathered at SLS Actiparc Sillon Alpin in Cheylas (38) to inaugurate the new HELIUP factory for the production of new-generation lightweight photovoltaic panels.

A defining moment that marked a key milestone in HELIUP’s ambition: to offer a local, reliable and sustainable alternative for large-scale deployment of solar photovoltaics with very low environmental impact.

A company rooted in its local area:

  • A modern French factory operational since January 2025, capable of producing up to 100 MWp per year (i.e. 330,000 panels/year).
  • 100 direct jobs created by 2027, including 40 direct jobs already created in the Auvergne Rhône Alpes region, at the heart of a collective project.
  • A low environmental impact solution using artificial surfaces for the deployment of low-carbon energy.
  • Production ‘Made in Isère’ that primarily benefits the French market while opening up to Europe.
  • A growing company, driven by a balanced economic model and dynamic growth.
  • An ambition to increase production capacity x10 from 2028 onwards.

This inauguration was an opportunity to discover the HELIUP project from the inside, born out of a strong conviction that innovation and industry can make a concrete contribution to the energy transition, at the local level.

For this project, HELIUP has received support from the European Union through its Innovation Fund.
